Atlantica Online in-game help. (some useful pointers on things they don't tell you about in the regular help.)
1st thing to know is how to get to the Atlantica Online database. The address is (without the quotes) "http://www.atlantica-db.com/". You'll find a wealth of information about monsters locations and quests you can do or just finding out information on various NPC's.
The second thing to know is how to find the in-game help. That can be found in most windows by clicking on the ? button in the upper right corner of the window. You can also from the desktop (while not in a chat box) hit the H key and the help window will appear.
Here are some of the basics that you should know.
There are shortcut buttons on the right side of the screen. The most used will be the Go To City, Community, Town, My Warehouse, Notes and My Buff Effects. My Buff Effects, gives you information on the Exp, Attack Power, Workload and Defense buffs in percentages. So with the Exp buff, you start off at 100% and things you can use, like Blessing License, can increase the percentage of the buff. Blessing License gives you an extra 50% on your Exp Buff. Other things like feasts can give you an even better percentage on your buffs. These extra buff effects only last for a certain time period. Some might be days, some might be hours. That's why it's important to check the My Buff Effects often.
You will also find in the My Buff Effects the License tab. This gives information on the Licenses you are currently using. One would be as mentioned above, a Blessing License. Another could be a Teleportation License. There are a list of them you will find in there so check it out and get to know it. Again, these licenses have a max time period so it's worth keeping an eye on it.
The Go To City button enables you to teleport (tp) to certain areas of the world without having to have a teleportation license. Keep in mind that once there, where ever there is, you will have to walk to where you want to go from there, unless you have a teleportation license. You can also use these shortcut links even if you have a teleportation license.
The Community button gives you information on Friends, whether they are online or not, as well as their level. There are also some other tabs in there. These tabs will depend on whether you belong to a guild or not, as well as, if your guild belongs to a nation. Those in our guild will have the Guild, Nation, Peers and New tabs.
The Guild tab is pretty obvious, however, there are other shortcut buttons in the Guild tab. Invite, is for the Guild Leader, Chief Officer and Guild Officers to invite other players into our guild. The Go to Town button will enable any guild member to tp to our town (Beijing) from anywhere. Teleportation License is required. The Whisper button allows you to chat privately with another member in the guild. Simply click on the person you want to chat with and click on the Whisper button. This will bring up a private chat box to chat in.
The Nation tab will give you information on the guilds in your nation. If you click on a guilds Icon in this window, you will see a list of the members in that guild. When you right click on a users name in any of these windows, you will get a drop-down list of commands you can use for that user.
The Peers tab will give you a list of your peers (users within a specific range of your lvl) on your server. The New tab gives you a list of people that have signed up very recently.
The Town button will bring up the Town Info window that enables you to do things within a town. For example, you can open the Market button and purchase needed supplies, weapons, armor and mats for crafting. If you have put something in the market to sell, your gold will be in the bank waiting for you. You can just click on the Bank button and you can see or withdraw your funds as you wish. You can also deposit gold into the bank to hang onto for you just like a Real Life bank. Try clicking on the other buttons to see what's available to you.
There is one button in the centre of the Town Info window, that is important to our guild. That is the "Town Quest" button. If you have the appropriate Manager's Scroll for your lvl, you can click on that button and do town quests that help your guild with managing the town that your guild is responsible for. Talk to either Brixal or Stever and they will get you the appropriate Manager's Scroll for your lvl and then you can do up to 5 town quests a day.
Town Quests have a direct impact on the Security, Industry, Commerce, Culture and Health of our town. It's important to keep those ratings as high as we can in order for our town to function properly. You will also see Population, Food Storage, Food Crop and Satisfaction Rate listed in the Town Info window. We are doing our best to get the population to 500,000 to help our guild make gold from the taxes paid by the town.
Now I mentioned earlier about feasts. When a player has a feast, there are certain types of feasts, more on that shortly, you can attend that players feasts to get the effect buffs associated with the particular type of feast being had by that member. To go to their home, you open the Community button, go to the Guild tab and find the member having the feast, unless you have them in your friend list, right click on their name and choose visit. This will take you to their home and once there, go to the table where the feast is, mouse over the food on the table and your cursor will change to a spoon. When it does, right click and you will start to eat. This is denoted by a progress bar below. The duration of the feast is 5 minutes from the time the feast was started. You will have to stay at that players house until the timer at the top of the screen has run out. Note: Most times player will have 2 feasts, one right after the other. It's important to stay for both feasts so you can maximize your buff effects for a specific time period.
Types of feasts are: (Common); Sushi Feast, Royal Supper Feast, Christmas and Novelle Cuisine Feasts. (Guild); Feast with Friends, Feast of Unity, Feast of Growth and Feast of Craftsmanship. (General); Quick Grow Feast.
Each of these feasts gives different buffs and for different time duration. The most commonly used feasts are the Novelle Cuisine and the Feast of Unity. The added buffs can mean the difference of killing a specific monster or being killed by that monster.
The My Warehouse button gives you access to your bag and to your extra warehouses which become available after you reach lvl 20.
The Notes button gives you access to any messages from the system and in-game email. This will flash when there is either type of message for you.
There are other buttons on the right side as well, and all you have to do is click on them and see what happens to get to know whether you need them atm or not.
